1 is in England, rated by CQC; 26 are in Wales, rated by CIW.
Each regulator does its own thing: the Care Quality Commission gives an overall rating from Outstanding to Inadequate, the Care Inspectorate gives grades from Excellent to Unsatisfactory for each key question, with no overall grade, Care Inspectorate Wales rates each theme of a service from Excellent to Requires significant improvement, with no overall rating, and the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority gives no ratings at all. They cannot be compared with each other, so we show each in its own words, never turn one into another, and offer no sort by rating here. Each rating filter only affects services in its own country. How they differ.
