What the site is, and is not

Care Comparison shows information that regulators publish about adult social care services, to help you search and compare. It is a guide, not advice. We do not inspect or rate services ourselves, and we cannot promise that a service is right for you. Visit, ask questions and check with the regulator and your local council before you decide.

Accuracy

We take care to show regulator data accurately and to say how old it is, but it may be out of date or wrong, and a regulator’s own site is always the more current source. We do not accept liability for decisions made using the site, except where the law does not allow us to exclude it.

Independence

Care Comparison is independent. It is not connected to or endorsed by the Care Quality Commission or any other regulator. We are not paid to list or promote any service.

Using the site

Please do not copy the site wholesale, overload it, or try to break or bypass its protections.
The regulator data is available under the Open Government Licence v3.0; see the attribution on every page. Our own text, design and code remain ours.
Links to other sites are for convenience. We are not responsible for what is on them.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
