What Care Inspectorate says

Grades, not an overall rating

The latest graded inspection report was published on 15 July 2026.

Last checked by Care Inspectorate: 26 June 2026.

Grades for each key question

Care Inspectorate grades each key question that applies to this type of service from 1 to 6. Each grade is shown as Care Inspectorate published it.

  • How well does the service support people’s wellbeing?

    Good
  • How well is people’s care and support planned?

    Adequate
  • How good is the place or setting where care is given?

    Adequate
  • How good is the staff team?

    Good
  • How good is the leadership of the service?

    Good

A service keeps its grade for a key question until that question is inspected again, so a grade can be older than the latest report. Where a service has not been inspected under Care Inspectorate’s newer quality frameworks, the nearest earlier grade is shown.

What the Care Inspectorate grades mean
Excellent
Outstanding or sector-leading. The service supports outstandingly good experiences and outcomes for people, and we can be confident this will be kept up.
Very good
Major strengths. Very few areas for improvement, and those that exist have little effect on people.
Good
Important strengths, with some areas for improvement. The strengths clearly outweigh the weaknesses.
Adequate
Strengths just outweigh weaknesses. Key areas need to improve, and continued performance at this level is not acceptable.
Weak
Important weaknesses. Priority action is needed, or people’s welfare or safety may be put at risk.
Unsatisfactory
Major weaknesses. Urgent action is needed because people’s welfare or safety is likely to be at risk.

Understanding this rating

Plain facts about how Care Inspectorate rates and inspects services, as Care Inspectorate describes them. This is not advice and not a rating of ours.

The Care Inspectorate gave different grades for different key questions. It graded “Wellbeing” as Good. It graded “Care and support planning” as Adequate. It graded “Setting” as Adequate. It graded “Staff team” as Good. It graded “Leadership” as Good.

What Care Inspectorate looks at

  • Care and support planning: Adequate

The Care Inspectorate looks at whether each person’s plan reflects what they need and want. It also looks at whether family, friends and carers are encouraged to be involved.

    Questions you could ask

    • How can we help write the personal plan?
    • How often is the plan reviewed, and who takes part?
    • How do staff know what is in each person’s plan?
  • Setting: Adequate

The Care Inspectorate looks at the place where care is given. This includes the quality of the building and facilities, whether the setting helps people be independent, and links with the local community. It does not currently assess this for care at home and supported living.

    Questions you could ask

    • Can we see the bedrooms and shared spaces?
    • How do you keep the building and equipment in good repair?
    • How do people get out and about in the local area?

Not every question at every inspection

An inspection may look at some key questions and not others. A grade stays in place until that key question is inspected again. So the grades for one service can come from different dates.

How often it inspects

There is no fixed timetable. The Care Inspectorate decides when to inspect. It uses the information it holds about a service, such as complaints, notifications and past grades, and its view of risk. It can also change a grade between inspections if it finds the grade no longer matches the service.
