Not every question at every inspection
An inspection may look at some key questions and not others. A grade stays in place until that key question is inspected again. So the grades for one service can come from different dates.
How often it inspects
There is no fixed timetable. The Care Inspectorate decides when to inspect. It uses the information it holds about a service, such as complaints, notifications and past grades, and its view of risk. It can also change a grade between inspections if it finds the grade no longer matches the service.
Why a service may have no grades
Some inspections do not give new grades. Earlier grades then stay in place.
